We're Mariana & Florian Pouteau!

We're a French family of four who loves traveling, gastronomy, and wine.

Florian was born in the Champagne region, just outside of Paris, and Mariana grew up in the United States and moved to Paris for a master's degree. 

The idea for French Gourmets started from Mariana's experience of discovering France from the point of view of Florian, a true foodie, and adjusting to French culture as an expat.

Before launching our travel business, Florian worked as a finance manager at large corporations. Mariana is a "nerd" who studied at Harvard & Oxford universities, and did field missions around the world while working for the World Bank and UNESCO. 

Now, our mission is to help travelers discover the authentic side of France. That's why we've curated resources to help you discover destinations through the eyes of a French local (vs. a foreign tourist!).
